Alongside our City & Guild qualification pathways, Tails & Tweed Academy offers structured in-house training courses for those who wish to develop practical grooming skills without sitting formal examinations.

These courses are delivered to the same high standards within our working salon environment, but do not include external assessment.

Students receive a Tails & Tweed Certificate of Attendance upon completion.

Foundation Course:

Our foundation course mirrors the practical elements of Level 2 training, without the formal assessment process.

Designed for beginners or those exploring grooming as a potential career, this course builds essential core skills within a structured, supportive environment.

A certificate of attendance is issued on completion.

Advanced Course:

Our styling course mirrors the technical elements of the Level 3 training without formal assessments.

This course focuses on developing technical scissoring, clipping and finishing skills for those wanting to refine their styling ability in a professional salon setting.

A certificate of attendance is issued on completion.

Handstripping

Delivered by experienced handstripping specialists, these days focus on:

Available for both wire coats and gundog breeds
