This Level 3 qualification is designed for those ready to train as professional dog groomers capable of working independently to industry standards.

Delivered over  20 intensive practical training days within our working salon, alongside structured home study and assessment preparation, this course develops the technical skill, critical thinking and professional judgment of a qualified stylist.

​

Who this course is for:

• Students who have completed level 2

• Individuals with proven grooming experience

• Assistants ready to progress to stylist level

Applicants must be physically capable, confident handling dogs and prepared for demanding but rewarding training programme.

What you will learn:

​During your 20 practical salon days, you will learn:

• Advanced clipping techniques

• Precision scissoring and finishing

• Breed-standard styling principles

• Coat assessment and preparation

• Handstripping foundations

• Styling balance and symmetry

• Clinet consultation and style planning

• Time management within a salon setting

• Professional presentation and finish

You will groom a range of breeds and coat types under supervision, building both technical skill and confidence.

Professional Development:

Level 3 is not simply about learning how to clip a dog. 

You will learn to:

• Assess coat condition and suitability

• Make informed styling decisions

• Adapt techniques to individual dogs

• Work safely and ethically

• Communicate professionally with clients

We train you to think like a groomer - not just follow instructions.

Study & Assessment:

Alongside practical training, you will complete structure study covering:

• Health and Safety

• Canine anatomy relevant to styling

• Breed standards

• Salon procedure and legislation

• Portfolio and assessment preparation

• Students must commit to time outside of salon days to complete coursework and home study.

Assessment includes both practical and theoretical assessments.
